REGION

kootenay rockies

AUTHENTIC MOUNTAIN TOWNS, DEEP POWDER SNOW, AND A LAID BACK VIBE.

The mild climate, consistent snowfall and breathtaking views of the Rocky, Purcell, and Monashee mountain ranges  will always leave you wanting more. Riding starts as early as November and lasts into late spring.  It is typical to spend time sledding, golfing and sunbathing on a beautiful beach all in the same day.

There is much to offer in the Kootenays including high alpine riding, technical tree lines, and for those who want to get out and experience some of the most breathtaking views on the planet, a relaxed trail ride on some of the many groomed trails in the Kootenay area.

If you’re looking to relax after a ride, you’ll absolutely appreciate a soak in one of the many hot springs in the area including Radium, Fairmount, Ainsworth, Halcyon and Nakusp. It is important to support those who maintain and preserve the riding areas in the Kootenays.  These clubs will be your greatest resource when enjoying the winter backcountry.
