MCBRIDE

YOU’RE GOING TO NEED ANOTHER DAY

There are riding areas you can get to know over a weekend. McBride isn’t one of them.

Tucked into the Robson Valley between the Rockies and the Cariboos, this small community sits surrounded by the kind of country that keeps unfolding the farther you go. Alpine bowls disappear behind ridgelines. Meadows lead to more meadows. Some of the best days end with the realization that you’ve barely scratched the surface.

Renshaw is the heavyweight, with an enormous managed riding area and the kind of terrain locals talk about in years, not days. Lucille mixes approachable meadow riding with bigger alpine objectives, while Belle Mountain slows the pace with gentler terrain and open meadows. Then there’s Tommy Creek, adding excellent tree riding and another direction to point the sled.

Four riding areas. An extraordinary amount of country. And absolutely no expectation that you’re going to figure it all out on the first visit.

WHERE TO RIDE

  • RENSHAW

    RENSHAW

    GO BIG.

Alpine bowls, sprawling meadows and an enormous amount of country make McBride’s flagship riding area one to explore over more than a day.

  • LUCILLE

    LUCILLE

    MIX IT UP.

Approachable meadows and marked routes meet bigger alpine terrain, giving groups plenty of ways to build the day around their ambitions.

  • BELLE MOUNTAIN

    BELLE MOUNTAIN

    TAKE IT EASY.

Gentler terrain, open meadows and Little Belle make this a natural choice for families, newer riders or a more relaxed day.

  • TOMMY CREEK

    TOMMY CREEK

    FIND THE TREES.

Tree riding brings something different to McBride’s managed network, with plenty of terrain to explore when playing between the branches is the objective.
