Big skies. Long distances. And a landscape that shifts from forests, frozen lakes and rolling plateaus to old mining country and glaciated mountain peaks.
Snowmobiling here can mean a day on groomed trails through lake country, following historic routes between small communities, or climbing into big mountain terrain where the towns get smaller and the peaks get considerably bigger.
There’s a frontier streak to this place. Pack what you need, know where you’re going and leave yourself plenty of time to see where the trail leads.

The Gold Rush Snowmobile Trail stretches 463 kilometres through the Cariboo, following historic travel corridors and linking communities shaped by the rush for gold more than a century ago.
The trail crosses forests, lake country and mountain terrain — with plenty of reasons to stop along the way.
