Just west of town, Lumberton winds approximately 50 kilometres of groomed trail through the Purcells, with the Helen’s Lake warming shelter waiting along the way. Stay on the trail or peel off to find cutblocks and frozen lake basins made for powder turns.
Further out, Heaven and Helmet Ridge step things up with steep climbs, rugged bowls and some seriously good tree riding.
Then there’s the sunshine. Cranbrook is one of Canada’s sunniest cities, which means those coveted bluebird winter days have a habit of showing up here more often than you might expect.
