2012 New Release of Ski Doo products

Check out this short video of Dave Norona down in San Diego checking out the new Ski Doo products released for 2012.

Some of the rides showcased are the new Free Ride 137 and the Summitt X which has a storage compartment in the back of the seat. The clothing line up is amazing with a great selection of the active poly blend clothing and the Helium jackets and pants. All this offers both comfort and style while cruising around in the back country.  Other exciting stuff is the teaming up of ABS and Ski Doo with the new Ski Doo branded ABS bags to ensure your ride is extra safe.

Carving the Pemberton Ice Cap / Ice Cave

The Pemberton Ice cap is arguably home to the best snowmobiling in the world. The 650 square mile ice cap, portrayed in these images is just a small example of the awesome expanse of these flowing, timeless glaciers, but it's not without it's hazards. You should be a seasoned mountain snowmobiler to travel this part of the world as you'll see, many surprises await the inexperienced rider. We recommend hiring a guide or taking a mountain specific sled training course to provide you with the appropriate backcounrty travel skills required to thoroughly enjoy the big mountain riding of BC.

Do you have adequate Avalanche Training?

As a snowmobiler its vital that you understand avalanche risks and train in avalanche avoidance, what equipment you need and how to use it in the event you need it.

Black Tusk Snowmobile Club recently ran a Level 1 Avalanche Safety Course at their fantastic facilities on Brohm Ridge. Check out this video from Dave Norona at NoronaLife.com which is packed with useful information and shows what an informative (and fun) day was had by all. Digging snow pits, understanding the snow pack, using your beacons correctly and more.

Got your Trail Pass? Support your Federation

The following is a short video by Dave Norona explaining the importance of a BC Snowmobile Federation trail pass.  If you use trails to access the backcountry...those groomed trails and cabins are maintained by someone...usually hard working volunteers of a snowmobile club.  Help support the on-going efforts.  Thanks!!
