Avalanche Training Bursaries Available

Posted by doug on Thu, 2011-10-27 14:01 in avalanche, Mountain Travel, snowmobiling, training

With all the new snow coming down, there’s no doubt that many of you will be pulling out your sleds and making sure they’re ready to go for that first epic snow day of the year, but have you considered whether YOU are ready to go?

Having the appropriate skills to travel in the mountains of BC is not something to be taken lightly and so we at Sled:Link would like to both encourage you to take appropriate skills training regarding safe mountain travel and provide you with an avenue to get that training, in this case, subsidized.

With just two weeks left to register, The Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC) is providing an opportunity of a life time to qualified candidates.  You can now apply for a bursary for the level 1 Industry Training Professional (Level1 ITP) Avalanche course.  You can read more about the offer from the CAC and access more information pertaining to the Level 1program on the CAC website at the following link.

CAA Avalanche Operations Level 1 Training and CAC Bursary Program TIME SENSITIVE DOCUMENT

Act now, It may just be the best time you’ll have on a sled this winter and it’s an awesome way to meet people in the industry to work and ride with and that’s talking from experience.

Good luck and safe travels.
